How to request account and data deletion
Send an email from the address associated with your app account (if you have one). Use the button above or write to:
tarnapolskiy@icloud.com — subject line: Account and data deletion — Sudoku (Google Play)
Steps to take
- Open your email app and start a new message to tarnapolskiy@icloud.com.
- Set the subject to: Account and data deletion — Sudoku (Google Play).
- In the message, state clearly that you want your Sudoku account and associated personal data deleted.
- If you signed in to the app (for example with email or a linked provider), include the same email address you used in the app, or your user ID if you know it, so we can match your request to the right account.
- Optional but helpful: approximate date you started using the account, and your country/region if you are exercising a privacy right.
- Send the message. We will confirm receipt when reasonable and process your request as described below.
If the app version you use does not offer sign-in or an online account, you may still email us to ask for erasure of personal data we hold about you (for example from support messages). There may be no separate “account” to delete.
What we delete
After we verify your request, we delete or anonymize, where applicable:
- Account profile: identifiers tied to your in-app account (for example email, display name, internal user ID) when those features are enabled.
- App data linked to that account: game progress, settings, and similar data stored for your account (for example in Firebase or comparable backend services), when used by the app.
- Support correspondence: we delete or minimize personal data in past support emails when no longer needed, subject to legal exceptions below.
What may be kept or is outside our direct control
- Aggregated or de-identified data that does not identify you may be retained for analytics or product improvement.
- Legal and security: we may retain certain information if required to comply with law, resolve disputes, or enforce our terms, only for as long as necessary for those purposes.
- Advertising (Google AdMob): the app uses AdMob. Google and its partners may process device or advertising identifiers under their own policies. We do not control their retention; see Google’s Privacy Policy and your device/Google ad settings to limit ad personalization.
- App stores: Google may retain store account and billing records according to Google’s policies; contact Google for account-level questions about your Play account.
Retention period after you request deletion
- We aim to complete deletion of your account and associated personal data within 30 days of verifying your identity, unless a longer period is required by law or is necessary to resolve an open request or dispute.
- Backups: copies in routine backups may persist until those backups rotate out, typically up to 90 days, after which they are overwritten or deleted in the ordinary course.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data. EU/EEA users may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in Portugal: CNPD). More detail is in our Privacy Policy.
